Solutions | Government
The public safety department of a mid-sized town receives many emergency phone calls in their office. They are looking for a solution that would record all 911 calls, and send alerts to the security officers when a 911 call is made. The department needs to also record all other inbound emergency calls from their two local PRI's. They need a solution that allows them to start a recording at any point in a phone conversation, and have that call recorded in its entirety.
Solving this challenge will benefit the public safety department in the following ways:
- Recording all incoming 911 calls is often required by law, allowing the department to be in compliance.
- The organization will improve response time to recordings requested by outside entities including the medical community, law enforcement, legal counsel or patients.
- Recorded calls will aid in settling disputes more efficiently, resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Utilizing recorded calls for training purposes will improve the quality of calls and speed up the training process for new employees.
Solution
The focus of this solution is to provide recording and storage for a high volume of calls along with easy retrieval of data.
- All inbound 911 calls are recorded and stored automatically by configuring the IPstudio software to record each call and match the dialed number.
- Each user that needs to be able to record any other call, inbound or outbound, will require a service or button on their IP phone that will allow them to initiate a recording.
- Once the service is triggered/button pressed, the call will be recorded in its entirety and stored by the IPstudio call recording server for later retrieval.
