A physical therapist leading a out-patient clinic of special needs children needs to summon help for a child acting out of the norm and disturbing others. The child needs to be removed into a one-on-one environment where he/she can be brought back into focus for the safety of the other children and staff. • Each user requiring a trigger device is given the mobile panic button that uniquely identifies who is experiencing an emergency.
• Instantaneously alerts first responders through automatic paging to IP phones, texting to cell phones, sending alerts to desktop monitors, etc., when a mobile panic button is pressed.
• First responders Intercom user in distress to confirm emergency; Intercom allows first responders to communicate with  distressed user, without the user having to answer their phone.
• Acknowledgement of emergency notifications provides audit trail for assessing hospital readiness.
• First responders can access still images over their IP phone screens if Web based IP cameras are available in outpatient clinics, assessing the situation before arriving on scene.
